Games Workshop
'FineCast' range
"Shock release of Meltal replacement range"

Just released this weekend is a surprise launch of the Games
Workshop / citadel Finecast tangent of models.
The Finecast models are replacing the white metal product range. These are generally the lower production run
figures like HQ units, or rarer figures like war machines.
As you generally have fewer of these models the tend to be center prices for a collection. This means that
they are required to be of greater detail, even if that leads to a marginally higher price. This is the market that
the Citadel Finecast are aimed at.
With the Finecast range Games Workshop
the level of detail is noticeabley higher than even the previouse metal range of models. They are easy to build as there are no optional
arms, heads etc. This does not mean that you can not do some customization. I would suggest that customization
is easier with the softer resin material than the harder metal figures.
As well as being easer to model, the new resin FineCast models are much lighter. This will be a major bonus for
warhammer players how travel to play.
