Small Screen Site Changes

I have been tweaking the website design recently as it seems that most of you ( 60% ) are using smart phones to read these pages. The improvements you may notice is that the search result images are now under the headlines so that the results fit better on these smaller screens. The right column content still drops under the main content so you can access the search features and menus. All these changes have been tested on larger screens so that the 39% of you using desktops and 1% using tables still get a great looking site!

Age of Sigmar Rulebook Commeth

Age of Sigmar General’s Handbook Pre-Release Overview So Age of Sigmar has been out for about a year now and here comes the rule book and the first army book. The Age of Sigmar rule book is to be called “The Generals Handbook”, and advanced copies can be sewn at your local Games Workshop shop. They are available for pre-order in shops and mail order suppliers like Wayland Games. The Black Library also has a ‘sample’ e-book that you can download. The sample is mainly the introduction that explains what Games Workshop are trying to achieve. Just a note about the sample download. It comes as a eBook EPL v3 file. On most of the ebook readers that I tried on my Android device the background images for the page texture was displayed separately from the text, even on eReaders that say they read v3 files. However, after some searching I found that the ‘Kobo’ eReader did render the pages properly. You need to click on the menu item and import the documents on the device. It is worth the effort though. Once you have the sample properly rendered it does look as good as the printed publications Games Workshop...

Space Marine HQ Tactics Updated.

Imperial Guard Heavy Support under the spotlight

Time to get back to the keyboard and update the some strategy and tactic pages. This week I have been updating the Imperial Guard Heavy Support Tactics. The Heavy Support section is where you will find all the tanks and mobile artillery options for the Imperial Guard army, so expect to find lots Guard Tank Tactics! Site Theme Change

On looking at the website stats recently I saw that more and more of you are visiting this website using tablets and mobile cell phones. With this in mind I have been playing around with the site theme specially looking at some of the small text on the site. So one of the main changes you may see is that the navigation menus on the right have increased in size so you can navigate more easily on smaller screens. I hope this all helps!

Importing Warhammer Fantasy pages

Website design changes and minor updates

I have been working on website the look and feel this week. Using the ‘Morgana’ web page template the site now has an easier on the eye look and some space for some drop down menus in the Right Panel. I hope that the new menus make it easier for tablet and smart phone users to get around the web site. I have also added some ‘301’ redirects so that inbound links will be redirected to the right web pages. There is still a lot of converting left to do though. Many pages are still needing to be moved across from the old site, and links in the web pages need to be updated too, so I better get cracking on!
