The Warhammer Fantasy Skaven army book is the must have for the Warhammer Fantasy Skaven player. The army book
is an extention to the main rule book. You will need to have the main rule book to be able to use the rules in this
book.
It is a112 printed paged soft back book, with quality illustrations throughout. In the Army book you get all the
rules and background that you need to field a Skaven army.
In the first section you get all the 'fluff' about the Skaven army. This includes an introduction to the Skaven
army. Then comes an overview of the different Skaven clans and Skaven politics. After that comes the history of the
Skaven.
The larger second section of the army book contains all the Skaven rule. First with a unit by unit description
of the Skaven army with and unit special rules, and then a break down of the points costs in the army list
section.
Pros
This a well put together army rule book. It is clear to read, with plenty of background, explanations, and
examples of professionally painted models to offer examples of how to get them looking their best.
Cons
There is not much to say against this book. Yes Games Workshop does charge the high end for their products, but
if you are going to use the rule book, there is plenty in it to make it worth the money. If you can buy it at a
discount on-line, you will do yourself a favor.
Conclusion
If you want to field a Skaven army, then you will need this army book. If you are fighting against Skaven on a
regular basis, then getting this rule book may be a good investment too as you will be able to discover your
opponents strengths and weaknesses.
