Orc and Goblin Lord Tactics
Orc Lords are the biggest and badist of all the Orcs. As such you are limited to the number of lords you can
have in an army.
The Orc Lords have the highest leadership of the Orc army. This is important as the bulk of the Orc army have a
notoriously low leadership, so having a big boss around will keep the army going in the right direction!
Named Orc and Goblin Lords
As usual there are a number of unique Orc and Goblin Lords listed in the army book. These character come with
extra rules and abilities. I highly recommend become very familiar with these rules as the models have had the
points cost increased to cover these abilities, so if you do not use them, then you are throwing points away that
could be spent elsewhere.
Gorbad Ironclaw
Gorbad Iron Claw was my favourite choice as army general. This is not because of his impressive fighting
skills, but because of his leadership.
Gorbad has the highest leadership of any Orc, and as long as he doesn't take a wound, his leadership 'aura'
extends 18". This is a massive advantage with a low leadership army like the Orcs and Goblins!
General as Battle Standard Bearer
The reason Gorbad fell out of favor with me is that he is a Battle Standard Bearer. BSB's are great as they
allow your troops to re-roll their leadership. The downside is that because they are standard bearers, thy
instantly die if you loose a combat and run!
As Gorbad is a pricey character, that means that you instantly loos those points, and his skills.
Moglor the Mangler
Gorbad Ironclaw is armed with 'Morglor the Mangler' magic weapon.

Azhag The SlaughtererAghast The Slaughterer is the most expensive of the Orc
Lords on the army list. For this you get a warlord with the same stats as a Black Orc Warboss that is a L2 wizard
and riding a Wyvern.
There is not a Azhag The Slaughterer special model in the Games Workshop catalogue at the moment, so a minimal
amount of modeling Warlord on Wyvern model by adding a crown, swapping the axe for a sword, and adding some magic
runes on the armour.
Grimgor Iron Hide
Grom The Paunch of Misty Mountain
Grom is the most powerful of the goblin characters.
Skarsnik, Warlord of the Eight Peaks
Orc Warboss
If you don't want to use (or house rules exclude
using) a named character then using a Orc Warboss to lead your army is recommended.
Generic warbosses are very flexible in the equipment that is available to you. This means that you can tool up
your character to match the tactics that yo have in mind.
Black Orc Warboss
The Black Orc warboss is the biggest,
baddest of all the Orc Warbosses. He commes with all the special rules that the usuall Black Orcs come with
but he has his stats upgraded to those of a Orc Lord.

Goblin Warboss
You do not have to have your lead by an Orc, you can have a Goblin Warboss instead. This is the obvious choice
if you want to field a Goblin only army.
Goblin Great Shaman
A great complement to a Great Orc Shaman, is a Great Goblin Shaman. If you take a Goblin Shaman, then you get
access the Spell of the Little Waagh
